In the afternoon we reached Lake Atitlan, we will spend the night at the hotel up to the lake shore.
Lake Atitlán (Spanish: Lago de Atitlán) is located in the mountainous region of southwestern Guatemala in the province of Solola, 1,562 meters above sea level and 147 km from the city of Guatemala.
It is located in the heart of an ancient volcanic crater and is a closed lake, a dead end to the sea.
Lake Atitlan is considered the deepest lake in Central America – an estimated depth of 340 meters, a width of 10 km and a length of 18 km. The lake is surrounded by steep slopes and south of it are three volcanoes – Atitlan, San Pedro and Tuliman.
The lake is surrounded by several villages, inhabited by several tribes, all descendants of the Maya. The village of Santiago Atitlan (Santiago Atitlan) is the largest of the villages surrounding the lake. Other villages are: Solola, Panajachel, San Pedro La Laguna, San Marcos La Laguna (San Marcos La Laguna), San Lucas Toliman (San Lucas Toliman)
The lake is considered one of the most beautiful lakes in the world and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Guatemala.

The new guest harbor is a short walk from the city center. The port is close to shops, a supermarket and more. At the entrance to the port and the canal out of the city there is a small mooring, exposed to the winds which is next to a caravan park. The services are shared by both.
The entrance requires crossing a bridge that is opened several times a day. You can check online when the bridge opens. Beyond that, crossing the river requires crossing a series of bridges. We were not really sure if they would arrive to open them on time. There is no complete clarity on the subject. At the end the bridges opened and we passed.
During the passage, one should carefully check the depths and on which bank of the river to sail. During the cruise you pass small barges designed for public sea transport. Attention should be paid to the depths in the passage of the bolts and if necessary then wait and turn.
The cost of mooring a 42-foot boat is 37-42 euros per night at the end of the season.

Kakopetria Vilage – Cyprus

Cacopetria is a picturesque village at the foot of Mount Troodos. It stands at an altitude of 667 meters (this is the highest village in the valley in the “Solia” area). The climate is relatively dry, and it receives an average annual rainfall of about 648 millimeters. The area has mainly apple, pear, plum, apricot, peach and cherry trees. Agriculture Vegetables, mainly potatoes and tomatoes. Vines from table varieties and wine production.
The community has about 1300 permanent residents. In the village flows the Clarius River which gives it a picturesque and magical look.
Recommended for a visit.

Croatia on Liz – Lou, me and my partner for life and sailing,
Last stop on land, Solin Canal, disconnects and begins to advance south.
Sailing between dozens of different and similar islands, small and large islands, inhabited and natural and first Mali Losinj.

A beautiful mooring located inside a fjord. The connection to the pier is long-side on the north side only (the pier opposite is for private anchors). On the pier are tourist shops with clothes, souvenirs and more as well as restaurants with seafood and fish that came out of the sea a few minutes before they reached the plate. The mooring ranges from 37-40 euros for a 42-foot boat at end-of-season prices. (Peak from early May to late August) By early September the docks are already emptying and the weather is getting colder.
