Access to the municipal pier is easy and convenient. There is plenty of space and you can release as much chain as you need without fear of lifting the neighbor’s anchor. There are several pedestals of electricity and to each one is connected a water pipe. The Harbor Master occasionally goes over the moped to check if new anchors have arrived and charge them for docking. The city itself has plenty of restaurants, souvenir shops, sponges, supermarkets and much more. The mooring is protected from the northwest and is convenient for mooring during the malting season.

In the afternoon we reached Lake Atitlan, we will spend the night at the hotel up to the lake shore.
Lake Atitlán (Spanish: Lago de Atitlán) is located in the mountainous region of southwestern Guatemala in the province of Solola, 1,562 meters above sea level and 147 km from the city of Guatemala.
It is located in the heart of an ancient volcanic crater and is a closed lake, a dead end to the sea.
Lake Atitlan is considered the deepest lake in Central America – an estimated depth of 340 meters, a width of 10 km and a length of 18 km. The lake is surrounded by steep slopes and south of it are three volcanoes – Atitlan, San Pedro and Tuliman.
The lake is surrounded by several villages, inhabited by several tribes, all descendants of the Maya. The village of Santiago Atitlan (Santiago Atitlan) is the largest of the villages surrounding the lake. Other villages are: Solola, Panajachel, San Pedro La Laguna, San Marcos La Laguna (San Marcos La Laguna), San Lucas Toliman (San Lucas Toliman)
The lake is considered one of the most beautiful lakes in the world and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Guatemala.

As a cheaper and more available replacement for Gibraltar, this place gives the possibility to anchor at good prices, on the Spanish side of Gibraltar. Marina is neat and comfortable, there are usually places in season as well. Yacht services are not complete but you can contact a professional who will come from Gibraltar. For those interested in mooring and avoiding paying for the marina, you can moor north to the entrance to the marina, there is good depth and good protection for many boats. It is possible to pass through the refueling docks at Gibraltar tax-free even without entering Gibraltar.

SAIL Good service in the Azores

Thomas and Any Dargel are a German couple with a business in the marina at Ponta Delgada, San Miguel in the Azores. They repair and make, sails and all canvas work. Thomas can handle electrical and mechanical repairs. I left a yacht in the marina for one month and paid Thomas a small sum to look after it. Any restitched our mainsail and made a ‘temporary’ repair to a heavy duty bag and lazy jack system which lasted for 5 years.

Marina in a convenient location in front of the Neapolitan chaos, a beautiful area of the province of Salerno. The marina is still in development but active and comfortable. Shipyard services for lifting boats but limited content services, if you leave the ship for the winter it is recommended to tie a double in case a western socket arrives.
